East Iowa Plastics is located in the town of Independence, situated in
north central Iowa. Independence has a population of 6,000. There are
16 manufacturing plants within the community with an approximate
workforce of 550 employees. Independence is strategically located on US
Highway 150, an 18 mile major route to Interstate 380 and US Highway
20. Highway 20 is a four-lane divided highway connecting the
Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa area with Dubuque, Iowa and direct access to
the Mississippi River.
